The City of Farmington is committed to recycling, which includes providing public cardboard dumpsters near the Maintenance Facility. To respect our community and this public service, we ask that Farmington residents follow the below rules when using the cardboard bins:
In the Bin
Do not leave any materials on the ground around the bins. When the material is not properly contained, it blows into nearby properties and natural areas, resulting in litter.
Break it Down
Please break down any boxes before placing them in the bin. This allows room for more material to be placed in the bin, thus reducing the chance for overflow.
Cart First
Utilize weekly curbside recycling when possible. Cardboard is accepted by DSI in their recycling streams and can be placed in your curbside cart.
