The city's Economic Development Authority (EDA) promotes the retention and expansion of existing businesses while attracting new businesses to the community in order to promote a diversified tax base, job opportunities, and convenient shopping for residents. The EDA is comprised of two City Council members, one Independent School District 192 School Board member, and four residents who meet monthly on the fourth Thursday at 6:30 p.m., at City Hall. In order to serve, you must be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and a resident of Farmington. Visit the Boards and Commissions page for an application to serve.
