Police Department Open HouseThe Farmington Police Department is hosting an open house on Saturday, May 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police station located at 19500 Municipal Drive.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. What better time to schedule an open house where the community can interact with the department?

Things you might see:
- A helicopter (or two) – Weather permitting
- Cool SWAT gear and vehicles
- Bounce houses and balloons for the kiddos
- Police station tours
- Dakota County Sheriff Vehicles and the Drone Team

Bourbon Butcher will be at the open house with a variety of food for purchase. All proceeds will be donated to the Farmington Food Shelf. The police department will also be collecting food and personal care items for the food shelf. This is what they are in need of most:
