Naloxone is a medicine that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose. It is an opioid antagonist and can quickly restore normal breathing to a person if their breathing has slowed or stopped because of an opioid overdose.
At this training participants will:
- Learn how to recognize an opioid overdose
- Learn all about naloxone (NARCAN®)
- Learn about Steve's Law (Minnesota's Good Samaritan and Naloxone Legislation)
- View a demo of naloxone administration
- Have the option to receive a naloxone kit
