[ARCHIVED] Ash Tree Removals Resume Monday, Feb. 9

The City of Farmington will resume ash tree removal efforts on Monday, Feb. 9, as part of the city’s ongoing response to emerald ash borer and efforts to maintain public safety and community forest health.

Contractor Work

Easy Tree Service has been contracted to remove ash trees located in boulevard areas:

  • West of Pilot Knob Road
  • North of 195th Street

Public Works Crews

Farmington Public Works staff will be removing ash trees:

  • East of Pilot Knob Road
  • South of Lake Julia

Parks Department Work

Parks staff will be removing ash trees within:

  • Middle Creek Park

Residents may notice crews, equipment, and temporary impacts in these areas while work is being completed. The city appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this important maintenance project. Ash tree removals are part of Farmington’s long-term management plan to address the impacts of emerald ash borer, which has significantly affected ash tree populations throughout Minnesota.
