We want to share that Mayor Hoyt has resigned, effective immediately.

We are deeply grateful for Mayor Hoyt’s years of dedicated service to the City of Farmington. He truly believes in this community and lives and breathes Farmington. His passion for our city and support for both residents and staff have left a lasting impact.

Council Member Lien will serve as Acting Mayor. Mayor Hoyt’s resignation will be formally considered at the Tuesday, Feb. 17 City Council meeting. A City Council work session will be held on Monday, March 2 to discuss next steps for filling the vacant seat and determining future leadership roles.

We thank Mayor Hoyt for his leadership and wish him the very best. Our focus remains on continuing to serve the Farmington community with care, dedication, and transparency.
