There are many construction projects in Farmington and surrounding our community. Stay up to date on the projects and stay ahead of the traffic!

Akin Road Drainage Improvement - Work begins Monday, July 30, on the Akin Road drainage improvement project. Contractors will be installing storm sewer and curb & gutter to the east side of Akin Road between 195th Street and 198th Street. Traffic lanes will be shifted, but no closures or detours are anticipated - motorists should slow down through the construction zone and find an alternate route if possible. The shared use path on Akin Road will be closed between 195th and 198th Street - pedestrians should find an alternate route. Work is scheduled to be completed late August. View the map here.  Contact City Engineer Matt Decur at MDecur@FarmingtonMN.gov with questions.

Hwy 50 & Akin Road - Northern Natural Gas is performing maintenance on its gas lines that are located under city property at the intersection of Hwy 50 and Akin Road. They will be working at the site until late summer - Please be respectful of the workers and slow down while passing.
